1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using VoiceLM, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
VoiceLM is a macOS application that transcribes audio to text using on-device AI models. The app processes audio locally on your Mac without sending data to external servers (except for optional AI text processing features you explicitly configure).
3. Subscriptions and Payments
- VoiceLM offers both free and premium features
- Premium subscriptions are billed through the Mac App Store
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in System Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use VoiceLM in compliance with all applicable laws. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record and transcribe any audio you process through the app.
5. Intellectual Property
VoiceLM and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer. The Whisper models are provided under the MIT license by OpenAI. Your transcription output belongs to you.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
VoiceLM is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that transcriptions will be 100% accurate. Transcription quality depends on audio quality, language, and the selected model.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of VoiceLM.
8. Third-Party Services
If you configure optional AI text processing (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, LM Studio), your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or data handling.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of VoiceLM after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
